A white woman treating a black boy like a pet in a South African "Feed a Child" advertisement has sparked criticism(link is external) online.
The ad ends with the line, "The average dog eats better than millions of children." But for many South Africans, the nerve it struck was outrage rather than sympathy.
According to ENCA, a South African television broadcaster, the original video received(link is external) more than 20,000 views before Feed a Child removed it from YouTube, replacing it with an edited version including an explanation from its founder.
