My 2 Cents~
Henry Ford, I once read, took great joy and pride in paying his workers a DECENT WAGE and giving them health insurance. Henry Ford once stated he wanted his employees to be able to "PURCHASE" what they made.
During Henry Ford's time he helped build a SOLID MIDDLE CLASS.
He wasn't fighting with unions to keep wages pathetically low or denying his employees health care to take care of their medical needs, or those of their family. He treated his employees right.
Mr. Ford didn't scream at people to "just quit" if they had an issue. Thus, he had healthy, and happy long-term employees who worked hard for him because of how he treated them.
I have figured out the problem with Texas when thinking of Henry Ford. Texas has a lot of slime balls here. Bottom feeders. Folks who will exploit any loophole, exploit anyone, to make as much money as possible.
These types of folks move to Texas because of the lax regulation and the fact that workers have so few rights. They use the lopsided job market to their advantage by placing unreasonable demands on their employees, working people like mules, using threats and intimidation, while paying rock bottom wages and denying their employees health insurance to make as much money as possible.
Many resort to tricks and scams, misclassifying workers for tax purposes and systematically terminating half their staff (flipping their staff) to take advantage of new hire tax credits, then lying to the unemployment office to fight benefits.
Many of these companies have hired law firms out of state to fight all unemployment claims, even those which are legitimate.
These companies care nothing for their workers. They only seek to exploit them.
The middle class in Texas is dying out.
These same companies which "Lack Compassion" ship jobs overseas, claim all their profit overseas even though they sale 98% of their goods within the US, to CHEAT the tax man and keep from paying their fair share of taxes..
Which is why you have Billion dollar companies which pay ZERO in taxes.
The Texas version of Capitalism is that of RAW CAPITALISM. The CAPITALISTS who don't mind appealing to the LOWEST DENOMINATOR to line their pockets. They are CORRUPT and GREEDY to no end.
We need more HENRY FORD CAPITALISTS to SAVE AMERICA.
