Just the other day I was speaking with a friend's father who drove trucks for a living and I mentioned how peculiar it was that there had never been any transformative movements in the South. When I say transformative, I meant change movements. Especially in regards to African Americans. Many of the great transformative movements were started by African Americans either educated up North or from up North.
His reply to me was "Well, people are afraid in the South".
Afraid? Really? Of what?
It's not like white men are going around openly lynching blacks as they did in previous years.
However, he recounted a recent experience he had while taking a shipment to a major warehouse in Arkansas. He stated to me that he had pulled his truck into the lot and there were two trucks ahead of him and about three trucks had pulled in behind him. The trucks were being unloaded in the order in which they had arrived.
When the two trucks in front of his truck were unloaded, the men who were unloading the trucks walked past his truck and started to unload the truck behind his. He couldn't understand why they were doing this but he held his peace and waited.
Finally he said the white truck driver from the second truck behind his walked up to his window and knocked on his window and asked him would he mind moving his truck. He asked why? He said the white truck driver told him that he needed to get his truck unloaded.
He then replied to the him by telling him "Like Hell I will move my truck".
At that point he stated he exited his truck and walked up the deck and spoke with the black man (yes the guy unbelievably was black) about why was his truck being skipped when all others were being unloaded.
He said the black man at the desk told him "Well, I'm just doing what I was told. That is what they told me to do".
(The guy was obviously to daft to understand that he was being asked to commit a racist act, or if he did understand, he didn't care. He was afraid for his job and did as he was told. He was a "black face" on a very discriminatory practice. He was the "Cover" for these racist men he worked for)
When the black guy at the front desk responded to him he was simply "following orders" and that "he didn't want any trouble"; My friend's father then told him to bring his supervisor and he would speak directly with the Supervisor.
He stated the Supervisor, a big, burly white man, walked up and asked "Was there a problem"? He told the supervisor that he was not going to move his truck or allow any other truck to be unloaded until his truck was unloaded. He informed the supervisor that he had waited patiently only to see his truck get skipped.
He then stated the Supervisor became belligerent with him and stated to him that was how they ran their business and they could run their business any kind of way they wanted, etcetera, etcetera.
At which point he responded to the Supervisor that he would have no choice but to either unload his truck or call the police as he would not move his truck.
He stated to me that this conversation went back and forth until the Supervisor agreed to go ahead and allow his truck to be unloaded.
This story made me think...Hmmm...
I had often seen open racism in places with BLACKS in one or two high positions and I have also seen them fail to speak out against these acts. I recalled my time working for Wingspan Portfolio Advisors and how the then Team Lead Kevin Conn would openly allow himself to be the "conduit" (for lack of a better word) for very racist acts under the instructions of Justin Belter, Melanie Pellegrino and Jason Dickard.
He would be the Black Face who would refuse work to black employees only to turn around and become the black face who would fire these very individuals for failing to turn in work. He was the black face who was aware of the pay discrimination taking place at Wingspan Portfolio Advisors and said nothing and did nothing.
Just as the black man on the deck at the Warehouse giving out obviously racist orders against his fellow African Americans, Kevin Conn also was the black face following racist directives against fellow African American employees at Wingspan Portfolio Advisors.
And of course for his "Loyalty" he was honored with a promotion.
I have said that just because you see a black face in a high place in a company, don't believe for once that you won't face discrimination or racism there. These people very often serve as TOKENS for a racist, white, corporate hierarchy.
These individuals are often the people called forward to terminate fellow African Americans when the racist white elite want someone WHITE in their SPOT. These bigots falsely believe that having an African American do the mistreating and discriminatory acts will shield them in the event of a discrimination lawsuit.
They are so wrong. The EEOC has been hip to those tactics for YEARS.
Now why do these blacks, especially those in the South, so quickly allow themselves to be used in such a manner against their own people.
It is because of FEAR.
The power structure in the South is still largely White Male Dominated.
And when I say Power Structure I am not talking about the black politicians who wield limited power.
I am referring to the white controlled corporate entities who largely control the politicians and who pretty much get their way.
These places are still WHITE MALE DOMINATED.
Because of this obvious imbalance in the power structure, to move up the corporate ladder, many blacks sell themselves out. They become what they never thought they would be - PUSSIES. They become whores to their white masters. They tip toe around these white people and act out of FEAR. There is no boldness in them until they get pissed off enough to sue someone. Until then, so long as it's not "their job" that's in jeopardy, so long as "they" aren't the ones being fucked with or toyed over, they don't care. Why do I say this? Because of the trappings of wealth and false privilege.
When I say false privilege, I am referring to privilege not earned in an Honorable Way. Privilege one has gained by serving a dubious purpose or role.
But privilege is privilege all the same.
These types of black people are worse than the worse Klansman. Because they are the ones who put the dagger in the throat of their fellow black people. They are the shields for these racist Klansman. They are the ones who come in sheep's clothing to eavesdrop on conversations, only to report what they have heard to the white managers, bosses, masters in hopes of gaining favor.
They falsely believe the only way to make it is to passify the powerful. They have no backbone. They are COWARDS. They are treacherous, Nefarious, Tricky.
I was listening to Kanye West's new song, "New Slaves" the other day and he had a couple verses that also made me reflect on this post.
One was "I would rather be a dick than a swallower".
People don't like that I'm so outspoken. They say stop it. You're causing trouble. Just like they called Martin Luther King, Jr. a troublemaker. When he pointed out the inequality in the system. We must remember that for every oppressive system, someone is BENEFITING from that very oppressive system.
The blacks I refer to in this post, by their ultra conciliatory nature, their lack of backbone, nerve, grit, are nothing but swallowers. Their bitches. They think they've arrived because they have been selected by their corporate masters to be the head black to cut other blacks throats. They are the weapon the klansman calls out and they come willingly to do his bidding.
The South for some reason has many of these types of people roaming about in Corporate America. They have no power. Their "positions" can be pulled and yanked and terminated at ANY TIME if they should suddenly choose to STAND UP FOR WHAT IS RIGHT.
When you see a Black Person in a high position at a company that openly discriminates in pay, promotions, hiring, and treatment against black people, you should be concerned about their very nature. Only snakes congregate with snakes.
Just remember that.
